A Content Management System (CMS) is an application that gives website owners the power to easily change and manage website content themselves. This means that content authors no longer need to pay a web designer to make page changes or add a new page —you can now do it yourself with no technical knowledge required.

The information on this page relates to the sophisticated and flexible TYPO3 CMS that we use.

TYPO3 is an enterprise-level open source CMS released under the GNU General Public License. It runs on more than 122,000 servers worldwide. The application has been translated into 43 languages and is actively being developed in a community of over 27,000 users in 60 countries.
See TYPO3 CMS Information page for further details

Benefits

Our CMS clients can administer as much or as little of their website as they need. With TYPO3 you won't need to purchase another CMS in years to come —you can begin with a simple website and easily expand it as your business grows.

With TYPO3 you have a large array of powerful in-built features and the option to easily add functionality using extensions such as a shopping cart, calendar, polls, guestbook and more. This enables you to serve your customers better by offering a dynamic and rich website experience.

The most popular feature is the built-in Rich Text Editor, which enables you to edit content similar to using Microsoft Word. You can easily insert text, images, multimedia, tables and more. No HTML skills are required. By enabling you to take control of your own website we cut out the middleman and save you time and money.

Extensions

Extensions are plug-ins that can enhance your website with more power and functionality. We can easily install these on your TYPO3 website for you. Alternatively we can train you to install them yourself. Hundreds of extensions are available some popular ones include:

Training

You can control as much or as little of the CMS as you like.

Our standard implementation includes training for basic content editing and administrative tasks. This includes the ability to add or remove pages, edit text, insert images, schedule content, show or hide pages, create users and permissions, and more.

Advanced training is also available, allowing you to modify the design, create and manage projects, install and configure extensions, etc.

TYPO3 is a very powerful CMS with almost unlimited capabilities. We will outline exactly what is included, and what is not included when we give you a quotation.

Pricing

Price depends on many factors, such as page complexity and the number of extensions installed. We can provide you with a quotation after discussing your requirements with you.

TYPO3 is an open-source CMS, available under the GPL license and free to download. You only pay for us to install and configure the software for you. With commercial systems, the cost of license fees can add up quickly as you add content editors, software extensions, servers and databases. None of these fees apply to TYPO3.

Furthermore, if you are unhappy with our service —although we are sure you wont be— you are completely free to use any of the other TYPO3 consultancies worldwide. You are not tied to any one vendor under the licence agreement. This gives you a lot of freedom.
